Where does the first part end? After successfully retrieving the Podkova, the team of Ethan (Tom Cruise), Grace (Hayley Atwell), Benji (Simon Pegg), Paris (Pom Klementieff), Degas (Greg Tarzan Davis) and William (Rolf Saxon) travel aboard an aircraft carrier planning out the final phase of their operation.

Final line of dialogue on the first part: Ethan speaks to Grace stating; ‘Blink of an eye.’

First line of dialogue on the second part: The team travels to Kongo Yowa, South Africa and reach the bunker. Benji states, “Where is everybody?”

How jarring is it when the first part ends? Somewhat, Ethan has successfully retrieved the ‘Podkova’, but is still missing the ‘Poison Pill’ (stolen by Gabriel). The circumstances seem grim with this impossible mission as the team needs both the ‘Podkova’ and ‘Poison Pill.’ Will Ethan and his team be able to recover the ‘Poison Pill’ in order to stop the Entity from controlling the world?

Which part is better? Although having a much shorter runtime, the second half delivers the film’s biggest action sequences where Ethan finally confronts Gabriel (Esai Morales) and attempts to stop the Entity from world domination.
