Where does the first part end? Batman (Robert Pattinson) and Lt. James Gordon (Jeffrey Wright) interrogate Oz (Colin Farrell). They receive another clue to the identity of ‘the Rat’ and leave to peruse the next clue. Will this be the clue that reveals the identity of ‘the Rat?’

Final line of dialogue on the first part: “You goddamn sons of bitches” Oz yells at Batman and Lt. James Gordon who drive off towards the abandoned Wayne Estate Orphanage.

First line of dialogue on the second part: Batman and Lt. James Gordon enter the abandoned Wayne Estate Orphanage “No guns” states Batman.

How jarring is it when the first part ends? Jarring, the Batman and Lt. James Gordon are playing a cat mouse chase in order to identify the the identity of the Riddler (Paul Dano), but the Riddler has other motivates by attempting to expose the decades of corruption surrounding various politicians, organized crime and the Wayne family .

Which part is better? Part one has Batman and Lt. James Gordon tracking clues left by the Riddler in an attempt to identify both ‘the Rat’ and the ‘Riddler’ himself. Part two reveals the mastermind of Gotham cities underground corruption as well as the identity of the Riddler. Although part one has a Se7en type thrill to it, part two is given a slight advantage as all unknown plot elements are resolved.
