Where does the first part end? ” Dax (Bekim Fehmiu) walks with Fat Cat (Ernest Borgine) out of the hospital following Sue Ann (Candice Bergen) sharing that she can no longer have children due to the miscarriage.

Final line of dialogue on the first part: “A rich man with a wife he doesn’t love and who can’t give you children. What happens to him Fat Cat?” Dax states.

First line of dialogue on the second part: “El Lobo!” Corteguay solider shouts. As revolutionaries approach (Five Years Have Past)

How jarring is it when the first part ends? Somewhat, Dax has everything in terms of an elite life. But he is unable to love. How will Sue Ann’s inability to have children effect their relationship?

Which part is better? In part one we are introduced to Dax as a child and follow him into his adult life. The audience sees the effects that the 1st Corteguay revolution had on him and his inability to love others. Part two is focused on the 2nd Corteguay revolution, where we are again exposed to the horrors of revolutionary war. Although part two is more action packed, solely focused on the 2nd Corteguay revolution. The audience has already been exposed to the effects of revolutionary war in part one. Thus, part one is better, as it has a balance of both action and romance.
