Where does the first film end? James Bond (Daniel Craig) locates and shoots Mr. White (Jesper Christensen) in the leg at an estate located in Lake Como.
Final line of dialogue on the first film: James Bond states to Mr White, “The name’s Bond, James Bond.”
First line of dialogue on the second film: No dialogue, until about two minutes into the film as James Bond attempts to evade pursuers in a car chase. An Italian police officer speaks Italian into his two-way radio. “Station from Patrol 48- grey Aston Martin followed by a black Alfa Romeo driving toward the quarries.”
How jarring is it when the first film ends? Jarring, James Bond has finally located the mysterious Mr. White, one of the antagonists responsible for the events in Venice. Will James Bond get his revenge on Mr. White?
Which part is better? The first film, (Casino Royale) outshines Quantum of Solace for a number of reasons. First, the plot of Quantum in comparison to the first film is too meddled due to poor editing, with the main villain being extremely bland within the narrative. Yes Quantum does bring into focus the multifaceted terrorist group ‘Spectre’ (James Bond’s arch rival), but Casino Royale presents an incredibly fast-based plot, with interesting stunts and beautiful cinematography. For these reasons Casino Royale can easily be considered one of the top five finest Bond films ever released.
