Where does the first part end? Madeleine (Lea Seydoux) finally revels her secret about the Lyutsifer Safin (Rami Malek) to James (Daniel Craig).
Final line of dialogue on the first part: “There are a thousand reasons why we need to find this man. You just gave me a reason to kill him” James responds to Madeleine.
First line of dialogue on the second part: “I want to eat” Mathide (Lisa- Dorah Sonnet) wake James Bond the following morning.
How jarring is it when the first part ends? Somewhat, we now fully understand the motives of Lyutsifer Safin and the dangerous technology he is in possession of. Can James and M16 stop stop Lyutsifer Safin’s plan in time?
Which part is better? The better part of the film can be argued depending on someones appreciation of the entire James Bond franchise. For long time fans who have watched the many adaptations of the Bond, part one could be argued surperor due to this part including many of the elements that make Bond films so great (exotic locations, action sequences, film pacing etc). Looking at the Daniel Crieg representation of the Bond story, part two brings forth a bittersweet end to this version of James Bond.
