Marlon Brando is considered one of the most influential actors since the conception of Hollywood. His use of the Stanislavski technique from stage to feature film not only provided more realistic performances, but also altered the standard of great acting. From the 1950’s onwards, actors began to use the Stanislavski technique in an attempt to create an authentic sense of emotion through the script itself rather than forming direct connections between their life and that of the character (Kemp, 2022). Brando’s mastery of this technique of acting put him in a category all his own, making him a revered actor for over five decades and earning him numerous acting awards. His acting style continues to inspire future generations of actors.
