First line of dialogue on the second part:  Donald Whitley Carson III regains consciousness after falling, he speaks in soliloquy to the audience, “I guess I… should have stayed there and waited for it. Like they thought I would.”

How jarring is it when the first part ends? Somewhat, Donald Whitley Carson III has knocked himself out attempting to climb down a small ridge (on a broken leg). Meanwhile Joseph Duncan eagerly listens to radio for updates on the whereabouts of Donald Whitley Carson III. Will Donald Whitley Carson III be rescued from the desert or succumb to its elements?

Which part is better? Although a relatively short film, Inferno was theatrically released in 3D and as a result required an official intermission. Part two is given the slight edge due to its climatic ending and reversal of fortune.
