Where does the first part end? Indiana Jones (Harrison Ford), Helena (Phoebe Waller-Bridge), and Teddy (Ethann Isidore) escape from Dr. Voller (Mads Mikkelsen) and his henchmen. They travel by boat towards Archimedes’s tomb in Sicily to obtain the second half of the dial.

Final line of dialogue on the first part: “They’re heading west, not east,” Dr. Voller states as he looks through a pair of binoculars at the boat Indiana Jones, Helena, and Teddy have escaped on.

First line of dialogue on the second part: “Teddy, what do you think” Helena speaks with Teddy in Sicily.

How jarring is it when the first part ends? Somewhat, Indiana Jones, Helena, and Teddy know the location of the second half of the dial. Unfortunately Dr. Voller sees the direction they are heading and begins to pursue them. Will Indiana Jones, Helena, and Teddy be able to reach the second half of the dial before Dr. Voller?

Which part is better? The break between the two parts is quite awkward as it happens during the map sequence scene transition. Part two is significantly better as we not only get to see the true power of the dial, but also the reunion of Indiana Jones and Marion (Karen Allen).
