Considered one of the most popular actors of the Golden Age of Hollywood, Humphrey Bogart is best known for his roles where he plays detectives, criminals and maniacs. What makes Bogart stand out from other actors during this period was his ability to deliver rhythmical dialogue in conjunction with psychological realism to embody the characters he portrayed (The Cinema Archives, n.d.). To date a total of seven Humphrey Bogart films are currently in the National Film Registry, demonstrating the historical, cultural and aesthetic contributions these films and Bogart have on cinema. Unfortunately, Bogart was not apart of any films that meet the threshold of being put into this database, nevertheless his films continue to be talked about even today and thus should be viewed at some point in ones lifetime.
