Where does the first part end? Harry Potter(Daniel Radcliffe) prepares for the second challenge. Neville Longbottom (Matthew Lewis) shares his knowledge of Gillyweed in the Hogwarts library.
Final line of dialogue on the first part: “I don’t know about turnip, but have you ever heard of Gillyweed” responds Logbottom to Harry Potter’s question about a spell that will help him breathe underwater.
First line of dialogue on the second part: “Bets” shouts both Fred (James Phelps) and George (Oliver Phelps) Wesley as they collect bets prior to the Second Triwizard Challenge.
How jarring is it when the first part ends? Somewhat, Harry Potter is a fourth year student who has been forced by unknown circumstance to compete in a wizard tournament beyond his years. Harry has pasted the first stage of tournament, but with less than 24 hours until the second stage will he be ready for the next stage?
Which part is better? Voldemort’s power continues to grow, but at an unnoticeable extent. Part two is better as it shows the antagonist (Voldemort; Ralph Fiennes) taking physical form and Harry Potter battling him. This part in the film is a defining moment in the Harry Potter Series as it displays the consistent battle between good vs evil in a physical form.
