Where does the first part end? Following a disagreement with the other Eternals, Ikaris (Richard Madden) and Kingo (Kumail Nanjiani) walk and talk. Kingo maintains loyalty with Ikaris.

Final line of dialogue on the first part: Ikaris replies to Kingo; “I’m not who you think I am.”

First line of dialogue on the second part: The opening scene in part two takes place six days prior to the current film’s plot. Ikaris speaks with Ajak (Salma Hayek) at her home in South Dakota. Ikaris asks Ajak; “How long do we have?”

How jarring is it when the first part ends? Somewhat, Sersi (Gemma Chan) shares the impending destruction that will soon befall on the Earth. Some Eternals seem conflicted on whether to allow or stop the ‘Emergence’ (Earth’s doomsday event).

Which part is better? The film definitely has its weak spots and is certainly a C rank film in comparison to other MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) films, due to its complicated plot points and boring characters. The one highlight of the film is the stunning visual work, which is clearly shown in part two of the film during the ‘Emergence’ where the Eternals battle not only Deviants, but also each other. For this reason part two takes the cake.
