Where does the first part end? The Salgonkar family lay in bed following a gruelling interrogation by IPS (Indian Police Service).
Final line of dialogue on the first part: “Yes, they will be back,” Vijay (Ajay Devgn) responds to Anju’s (Ishita Dutta) question on whether the police will be back to question them about Sameer’s (Rishab Chadha) disappearance.
First line of dialogue on the second part: “What is his name?” IGP Meera Deshmukh (Tabu), mother of Sameer, inquires about the IPS’s prime suspect Vijay Salgaonkar.
How jarring is it when the first part ends? Jarring, thus far Vijay has been able to cover for himself and the Salgaonkar family by evading primary police interrogations. Has Vijay covered all his bases or will evidence come to light that proves the Salgaonkar family involvement in Sameer’s disappearance?
Which part is better? Part two is slightly better, as all members of the Salgaonkar family are put through increasing pressure by the IPS. Vijay’s flawless plan to evade police detection is fully explained, demonstrating the cunning and meticulous nature one would need in order to elude a crime of this magnitude.
