Where does the first part end? Coach Pramod Kadam (Girish Kulkarni) speaks to Mahavir Singh Phogat (Aamir Khan). Mahavir then leaves the National Sports Academy.

Final line of dialogue on the first part: “You came to drop her, right? You’ve done that. Now leave the rest to me. Don’t waste my time!” Pramod states as he begins to address the wrestling team.

First line of dialogue on the second part: “Is Geeta happy?” Babita (Sanya Malhotra) asks Mahavir the following night at their home.

How jarring is it when the first part ends? Minimal, Geeta (Fatima Sana Shaikh) has won both the junior and senior freestyle wrestling championships at the state and national levels, proving she has the athletic ability to wrestle at the international level. However she needs to move her training to the National Sports Academy to prepare for the forthcoming Commonwealth Games. Will Geeta continue her success in freestyle wrestling?

Which part is better? Part two is significantly better as Geeta begins training and partaking in international wrestling competitions, for which she struggles with the training methods of her new coach. The journey is full of ups and downs, but ultimately brings Geeta what she has always wanted, her father’s acceptance.
