Where does the first part end?  K (Ryan Gosling) and Joi (Ana de Armas)leave for Las Vegas. Luv (Sylvia Hoeks) breaks into K’s apartment.

Final line of dialogue on the first part: No dialogue, Luv breaks into K’s apartment condo, only to find that he and Joi have left. She finds a data chip before leaving.

First line of dialogue on the second part:  K and Joi arrive in Las Vegas. K is speaking into an intercom to Joi about what he sees, it is hard to understand.

How jarring is it when the first part ends? Somewhat, at this point in the film K’s character has changed he is no longer following his mission, but instead seeks answers. He is being tracked by Luv of the Wallace Company and is not protected by the LAPD. Will K find the answers he is looking for?

Which part is better? Both parts are exceptional and tell different stories. The first part focuses on “K’s” mission of trying to locate and destroy the Replicant child. However during his mission K begins to question what he truly is. The second part has K locating Deckard and together they search for the identity and location of the Replicant Child. Part two is given a slight edge due to the story going full circle and answering many questions that were presented in part one.
