Where does the first part end? Within the Kyptonian scout ship Lex Luther (Jesse Eisenberg) begins the process of developing a monster using DNA from both Zod’s body as well as his own.
Final line of dialogue on the first part: The Kyptonian scout ship (Carla Gugino) confirms Lex Luther’s command, “Very well, preparing chrysalis and commencing metamorphosis.”
First line of dialogue on the second part: At the Daily Planet two reporters speak to one another, “And so we are left to wonder if Superman was aware of the threat and did nothing, was he then complicit in Capital tragedy?”
How jarring is it when the first part ends? Somewhat, Lex Luthor looks to destroy Superman’s (Henry Cavill) creditably by any means necessary. Superman is now seen as a potential threat to humanity, which could result in a potential confrontation with Batman (Ben Affleck). Who will win in the Batman v. Superman battle?
Which part is better? Part one is mostly a build up to the main confrontations which take place in the second half of the film. Part two, is significantly better as two major battles take place between Batman, Superman and the creature known as Doomsday as well as the formation of the Justice League.
