Where does the first part end? Pawan (Salman Khan) decides to bring to Munni (Harshaali Malhotra) home to Pakistan himself.
Final line of dialogue on the first part: “Hail Sri Ram!” Pawan states to Rasika (Kareena Kapoor) as he departs.
First line of dialogue on the second part: Pawan and Munni travel towards the India/ Pakistan border. They are stopped by a border coyote named Boo Ali; “Stop right there! Who are you?”
How jarring is it when the first part ends? Minimal, Pawan has now figured Munni nationality to be Pakistani. Unable to get himself or Munni a visa to enter Pakistan, he decides to illegally cross the India/ Pakistan border in an attempt to reunite Munni with her family.
Which part is better? Part two is somewhat better as Pawan and Munni enter Pakistan. Here Pawan must hide his true identity and rely on the goodwill of strangers to navigate the unknown country of Pakistan. Part two is one of the great examples showcasing that kindness can be shared amongst all humans regardless of race or religious affiliation.
