*** The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) has been an ongoing project since 2008. Each film produced provides content that relates to the plot brought forth by the Avengers plot. Thus, it is suggested to view previous films within the MCU to provide not only plot story framework related to the MCU but also character background and depth.
Where does the first part end? Hawkeye/Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner) receives the Soul Infinity stone on Vormir.
Final line of dialogue on the first part: No dialogue, Hawkeye/Clint Barton cries as the Soul infinity stone is presented within the palm of his hand.
First line of dialogue on the second part: Everyone is transported back to present day Earth. Bruce Banner/Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) speaks “Did we get them all?”
How jarring is it when the first part ends? Somewhat, each avenger group member who has travailed back using the quantum time machine and has been successful in retrieving one of the six soul stones. But at a cost of changing the present. Can retrieving the soul stones of the past change events of the present and future for the better?
Which part is better? The entirety of the film is fast paced bringing together many plots presented in other MCU films. As a direct sequel to the Avengers: Infinity War film, the part two finale is better, as it provides a bittersweet conclusion to multiple hero story-lines within the MCU.
